Silk Yoga Mat Carrier Bags     $30 each
Colorful silk yoga mat carriers have been handmade by Tibetan refugees living in India. Available in a variety of shimmery colors, their handy over-the-shoulder strap makes them the ideal accessory for yogis, hippies, health enthusiasts, Tibet-advocates and anyone who appreciates good "downward dog."

Kalden Dorjee, the founder and owner of the Delhi-based workshop and a Tibetan refugee himself, uses his workshop to provide work and vocational training to other refugees, most of whom arrived in India penniless after a month-long trek over the Himilayas. Dorjee is saving to build a larger vocational training center in Dehra Dun, India, about 240 km north of Delhi.

Each bag is unique, fits standard-sized yoga mats (up to about 26" wide), has about a 10" diameter, and features a drawstring closure. In addition, there's a zippered pocket for phone, wallet, keys and other valuables. They’re fully lined with a light cotton, and are partialy quilted.
Colors will vary just a bit from these, but will be similar. Choose based upon the dominent differentiating color, namely

Further reduce your stress level with a handmade Guatemalan cotton yoga mat bag, complete with an adjustable shoulder strap. A zippered pocket will manage your keys, cell phone, glasses, etc. It will accommodate a standard sized yoga mat (up to about 24" wide) and has about an 8" diameter. The women working with UPAVIM have woven this cloth and sewn them for you.
