Indian Christmas Ornaments

We now offer new types of Christmas ornaments from a great non-governmental organization (NGO) in India:

These Christmas ornaments are handmade by artisans in various village workshops, funded by Noah’s Ark. This private non-governmental organization (NGO) provides money for raw materials, machines and workshop repairs to 100 artisan groups across India in exchange for proof that all employees are paid fair wages and work in safe and clean conditions. The NGO also offers free classes in capacity building to its network of 600 artisans, a rigorous quality control check, and runs education and water sanitation projects to benefit the artisans' children and communities. Noah’s Ark has established 20 new workshops in the past 15 years, and all of its employees are paid 10-15% above the local rate. We thank you for your support of fair trade Indian ornaments.

Recycled Metal Can Christmas Ornaments

These Christmas ornaments are clearly the "Reuse" part of the "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" environmental phrase! Crafted from metal cans, they'll decorate your tree and house while helping artisans and their families, AND help clean up the earth. Colors are varied, depending on what can was used.

Recycled Metal Can Angels $6.00 each NOA:ORNANGL-RECYL 4.5" tall, 5" from wing tip to wing tip. The angel body is a 3-dimensional cone; the wings and head are flat. Tell your friends that you value them through the choice of your presents. Angels are beautifully hung from red ribbons, and obviously show that they were not mega-manufactured! Most of the angels we have in stock now are the colors shown in the photo.
