These brightly colored and whimsical, molded plaster animals will add color and fun to any room. Please note that these are not toys for young children - they're decorative.

They're hand-painted. There might be slight variations, but they'll look very much like the animals shown here.

Gonzalo Ticona is a winner of the United Nations "Made by Microentrepreneur Award", and had this to say about his Bolivian craft enterprise.

"My business, Termitas, originated by creating a few Bolivian animal figures, such as the llama and the Andean fox, ... and someone saw them and thought they were amusing... Personally, I wanted them to be funny and happy, especially since Bolivian handcrafts typically represent animals as being very sad, and so I began painting them with lively, vibrant colors."

"The Termitas workshop employs highly-skilled wood carvers and painters who learned their trade in my workshop. These seven artisans, at times more, continue to work with dedication and we are always concerned with improving quality. We produce a very large collection of different animals and we have ideas for even more.
