These beautiful seed earrings were handcrafted by over 20 families in San Antonio de Lomerio, Bolivia.
This community of indigenous people called the Monkox Chiquitanos was founded in 1965, and
built in colonial style architecture inspired by the ancient mission of Chiquitos.
Their language is Besiro and they banded together to form an association of
Apiasertur to improve their economic development.
There are approximately 180 artisan groups within this association representing different crafts
and skills.
These lovely seed choker earrings are a great way
to be fashionable AND help people in Bolivia earn an environmentally sustainable living.
